It is an active part of the disease and addressing cancer in an integrative way entails taking care of diet as a transversal pillar, but also, of physical exercise, taking food supplements and integrating techniques to improve stress management. In this Talk, Dr. Natalia Eres and the dietitian-nutritionist Martina Rebull gave us guidelines to improve the quality of life and promote healing.on of people.

Dr. Natalia Eres explained that Integrative Oncology is one that combines the most effective and scientifically rigorous complementary medicines with conventional oncology, but situated the latter asessential part of the treatment. The conventional predominates over the other.

One of the great challenges of Integrative Oncology is not only to "cure the disease", but also to reduce the side effects of treatment, improve symptoms caused by cancer, enhance emotional health and improve quality.ad of life of the patient.

According to dietitian-nutritionist Martina Rebull, at least a third of all cancer cases can be prevented by following a proper diet and regular physical activity. There are a series of factors that favor the appearance of cancer, such as the systema depressed immune system, an inflammatory environment, a poor omega 3 / omega 6 balance, high levels of glucose and insulin, excess IGF-1 and free radicals, altered intestinal flora, hormonal alterations, obesity and environmental toxins that actas carcinogens.

The diet of a person has a fundamental role in the manifestation and evolution of cancer, since they can be triggers of disease, but also, a key piece to prevent orimprove your progress and get your referral.

Our diet should be rich in foods rich in phytochemicals: greens, vegetables, fruit, green shoots, sprouted seeds, mushrooms ... You can not miss proteins of vegetable originl: legumes and pseudo-cereals such as quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat ... These foods contain compounds that inhibit the growth of cancer cells, act as antioxidants, improve the response of the immune system, reducein inflammation and induce the detoxification of carcinogenic substances.

And we must avoid cow's dairy, sugar, flours, synthetic sweeteners, refined carbohydrates, meats and livestock eggs.intensive, farmed fish, pork and sausages, foods rich in "trans" fats, chocolate with sugar, coffee (roasted), sugary drinks, alcohol and refined oils.

When the speakers finished, it was abquestion time laughed, and as always, dishes related to Talk were served as tastings. In this case, the Virus Killer juice was chosen and Green Hummus and Orange-colored with pumpkin and turmeric accompanied by veggies.
